The Accountant I is responsible for assisting the Accounting departments in various administrative, analytical functions and data entry tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Ensures that accounts payable are paid accurately and in a timely manner
  • Enhance and manage the purchase order process
  • Manage the accounting for and inventory of fixed assets and prepaid expenses
  • Manage monthly Sales/Use Tax Reporting and payments
  • Reconcile various correspondent bank accounts and certain G/L Accounts
  • Enter journal entries into the system that are prepared by others
  • Assist in maintaining and updating all COPE functions related to the Accounting
  • Prepare daily Cash Sweep entries and reconciliations
  • Assist in or prepared daily general ledger reconciliation of various loan, deposit, and settlement accounts
  • prepare monthly investment reconciliation
  • assist, as needed, in preparing monthly internal ALCO Committee Meetings
  • Manage and distribute parking passes
  • Serve as a backup on ICS/CDAR cash program
  • Assist in scanning and filing of reports and reconciliations
  • Supports and participates in community activities and initiatives
  • Perform various related duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree with course work in auditing, business, finance, or accounting preferred or at least one years of accounting experience preferably in banking.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task projects.
  • Availability to work extended hours beyond normal work week and normal work hours
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products.
