We continue the transition of Middletown Valley Bank in order to remain a strong, independent community bank for the future benefit of our communities, our customers, and our shareholders. There are some exciting happenings occurring at your Bank to provide us with a sound and financially strong future.
In moving the Bank forward, we are excited to formally announce that the following individuals have been added to the Board of Directors for Middletown Valley Bank:
Todd M. Snook 47, a lifelong resident of Washington County, who lives in Williamsport with his wife Tina and son Aaron. He is President of Valley Storage Co. and related entities (a real estate development and management company), V.P. of Greenlawn Cemetery Co., a licensed real estate agent for 25 years and also involved with various solar energy and agricultural projects.
Todd is very involved with his community, being a former member of the Long Meadows Rotary, the Board of Directors of Dream Come True, The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Maryland Green Building Council. Mr. Snook currently serves as a Board member of the YMCA of Hagerstown and the Community Foundation of Washington County.
James G. Pierne has 38 years of financial banking industry experience. Mr. Pierne retired from Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. in December, 2011. His last position with Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. was serving as President and CEO of Susquehanna Bank and Executive Vice President of Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. Currently, Mr. Pierne is an Instructor for Business and Management at Hagerstown Community College.
Jim is active in the Hagerstown/Washington County community serving as President of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors and President of the Washington County Arts Council. He has held positions with several boards in Western Maryland and across the state of Maryland. Mr. Pierne also served as Chairman of the Maryland Bankers Association in 2008-2009. He holds a B. A. from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, an MBA Degree from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
