Compliance Associate/Officer

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience in regulatory compliance specific to banking (either deposits, BSA, or lending) and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities – Deposits

  • Maintain appropriate deposit compliance systems in the bank.
  • Serve as primary contact for deposits, BSA, complaints, privacy, and Fedline with users.
  • Coordinate a program of deposit compliance training for all bank employees that is approved by the Compliance Committee.
  • Ensure the CA/Security Officer is completing daily monitoring for BSA and fraud

 

Primary Responsibilities – Lending

  • Maintain appropriate compliance systems in the bank.
  • Serve as primary contact for lending, CRA, and HMDA with users.
  • Ensure HMDA reporting is accurate.
  • Coordinate a program of lending compliance training for all bank employees that is approved by the Compliance Committee.
  • Maintain bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) statistic data analysis reports and ensure CRA public file accurate.
  • Establish and maintain necessary tools to evaluate assessment area, lending performance, and community development efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements

A deposit/BSA hire will be responsible for all aspects of the Bank's Compliance Management Program with respect to Deposits, BSA, and Privacy. The incumbent will work with another Compliance team member to ensure monitoring is completed as required for BSA compliance.  The incumbent would lead all further investigations into BSA issues found during monitoring.  The incumbent will work to ensure the Bank remains in compliance with regulations and laws related to deposits.  The position also participates on the Compliance committee, performs duties as the Bank Secrecy Act/OFAC Officer and Privacy Officer. The incumbent may conduct annual Deposit/BSA Compliance-related training for employees and the Board of Directors.  The incumbent will be the liaison between Compliance and other Bank departments for deposit compliance inquiries and planned and additional training needed in the deposit area. 

 

A lending/CRA hire will be responsible for developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Bank's Compliance Management Program with respect to Lending, HMDA, CRA, and Vendor Management. The position works with the Bank’s Compliance Team to ensure the Bank remains in compliance with regulations and laws.  The incumbent is to ensure the Compliance Vendor is effectively and efficiently completing the activities.  The incumbent also participates on the Compliance committees and performs duties as the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer including HMDA data quality assurance. The incumbent may conduct annual Lending Compliance-related training for employees and the Board of Directors.  The incumbent will be the liaison between Compliance and other Bank departments for lending compliance inquiries and planned and additional training needed in the lending area.
