October 19, 2018
Middletown Valley Bank recently presented a $1,710 check to Washington Goes Purple. During the month of September, the bank committed to donate 10¢ for every transaction processed in their branches, and $5 for every Community Hero Checking account opened to local overdose awareness. Efforts such as this helps illustrate Middletown Valley Bank’s commitment to the customers and communities they serve. To learn more about Middletown Valley Bank, visit www.mvbbank.com.
Washington Goes Purple is relatively new program to our Community, started in an effort to engage our community and youth to stand against substance abuse. During the month of September, they encouraged the community to “Go Purple” with lighting, signage, clothing, etc. to show a community solidarity movement and give much needed hope! While September is Overdose Awareness Month, they will continue to promote the program, provide education, and host events throughout the year.
