Middletown Valley Bank Expanding in Downtown Frederick

7/16/2026 – Middletown Valley Bank (“MVB” or “the Bank”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Community Heritage Financial, Inc., is proud to announce the expansion of its presence on Market Street in downtown Frederick, MD. The Bank has served the Frederick community at 9 North Market Street since March 2023, where it opened a business development office before converting the location into a branch in October 2024. MVB will be transforming the attached property at 1 North Market Street into a branch in late summer 2026, at which time 9 North Market Street will continue as a business development office. The branch will offer teller services, account opening services, foreign currency ordering and exchanging, consumer lending, mortgage products, and more, while the business development office will continue to provide commercial lending, cash management services, and other business services.
Built in 1865 and long recognized as a staple in downtown Frederick, 1 North Market Street stands as a landmark and a symbol of Frederick’s rich banking heritage. The move into this historic location provides Middletown Valley Bank with the opportunity to preserve a legacy of local financial service while writing its next chapter in downtown Frederick.
