Zelle® Terms & Conditions Update


As a valued Middletown Valley Bank customer, we want to notify you about a change that Zelle® is making to their terms and conditions. Effective May 31, 2023, Zelle® is implementing a limit on how much money users can receive in one week using Zelle®.

What do I need to do?

Starting May 31, 2023, when you access Zelle®, you will be prompted to review and accept the new terms and conditions that include this new receive limit. This change will not affect how you use Zelle® to make payments. The new $5,000 receive limit applies to the amount you can receive in one week using Zelle®.

What happens if I am sent more than $5,000 in one week?

If you receive a payment that puts you over the weekly receive limit, that payment will be rejected and returned to the sender. You will be able to continue receiving payments once the limit resets the following week. A week is defined as 12:00 a.m. Sunday to 11:59 p.m. Saturday (CT).
